This inukshuk magnet is carved from genuine Canadian green jade (nephrite jade) and comes directly from the mines in northern British Columbia! This inukshuk is about 3.5cm tall and weighs approximately 8-9g! It has a high-polish and is 100% all-natural nephrite jade. Jade is the stone of calm in the midst of storm. Its action balances nerves and soothes cardiac rhythm. A piece of Jade kept in a pocket or on a pendant to stroke from time to time recharges energy, and traditionally guards against illness. An inukshuk is a figure made of piled stones or boulders constructed to communicate with humans throughout the Arctic. Traditionally constructed by the Inuit, inuksuit are integral to Inuit culture and are often intertwined with representations of Canada and the North. Inukshuk have been found close to archaeological sites dating from 2400 to 1800 BCE. Among their many practical functions, they are used as hunting and navigational aids, coordination points and message centres.
